“Inventing Anna” Now On Netflix

February 14, 2022 by Jessica Pressler

Based on original reporting by Jessica Pressler, “Inventing Anna” is the story of a journalist who chases down the truth about Anna Delvey, a Russia-born 26-year-old who convinced New York’s elite she was a German heiress.

In May 2018, New York Magazine published “Maybe She Had So Much Money She Just Lost Track of It,” which chronicled the unusual rise of Anna “Delvey” Sorokin. The article, by Jessica Pressler, is now the basis of a Netflix limited series produced by Shonda Rhimes.
